Kimball Hill Homes Settlers Ridge Models Complete
Settlers Ridge is a 1,300-acre Kane County lifestyle community of 2,470 new residences currently under development by Kimball Hill Homes. Settlers Ridge has been hailed as a visionary, progressive community with the spirit of neighborliness identified with turn-of-the-century villages.
To help sell this development Sorensen Design Group Inc. was hired to fully merchandise two single-family homes to capture the spirit of this new community. Kimball Hill Homes targeted two distinct audiences for these models. The first target audience being young married professionals who are moving out of the city or into their first single family home. The second audience is families with young children who might be expecting.
The 2,308 square foot two-story McDole model is targeted to young married professionals. The urbane color palette uses deep blues and browns complement the breakfast area, kitchen and connected family room. Deep wood tones with clean lines give the dwelling a relaxed, hip feel perfect for lounging and entertaining. The modern kitchen sparkles with top of the line stainless-steel appliances and luxurious granite counter tops. The second floor loft is comprised of a high-tech, functional den for him and a fully outfitted room for her as a at home fashion designer. The master suite is surrounded by craftsman styled ¾ height wainscoting including a floor to ceiling mirror which reflects the balance of comfort and luxury in this haven for hard working professionals to relax.
The larger 2,474 square foot two-story Ingham model targets families with young children. The Victorian style home with expressive colors of rich purple, sun-drenched yellows and citrus hues appeals to traditional tastes with all the modern amenities included.
